Toronto
> Union Station

Overview:

Union Station is located on the southern edge of the downtown core and it serves as the intersection of several major transportation systems as Via Rail, GO Transit and the Toronto Subway all cross paths in this one building. The Station is also connected to the PATH system of underground walkways, which lead to many downtown stores and office buildings including the Skywalk to the Skydome. For the convenience of those in transit the station offers a wide variety of food options. On the main floor you'll find Harvey's, with fast-food burgers as well as a pub with tasty steaks and salads. On the lower level you'll discover a McDonald's, a Laura Secord specialty ice cream store and a Second Cup coffee shop. The complex also offers a liquor store and souvenir shops as well as storage lockers. If you have a few hours to kill stow your bags and go for a wander along Front Street. It is lined with tempting restaurants and intriguing places to shop. Union Station is easily accessible with ramps in strategic locations. The GO concourse is open Monday to Saturday 5:30am - 12:15am and Sunday 8:30am - 12:15am. Cabs are easily hailed in front of the building, which is located at 65 Front Street West, Toronto (south side of Front Street, west of Bay Street and east of York Street). Via Rail trains arrive directly inside the terminal, as do the GO Trains and the Toronto subway.
