The newest kid on the golfing block just appeared in the most mind-boggling urban location - just across from the downtown SkyDome at 2 Spadina Avenue. The CityPlace Golf Course (416/640-9888) is a little nine hole, par three course designed with the busy executive in mind; you can actually take your lunch break from Bay Street, play a quick nine holes and have lunch on their outdoor patio. The main feature, however, will be the September 2000 opening of their 250-yard, two tiered driving range. All 84 tees are ‘heated’ which means golf fanatics can practice their swing all snowy winter long.
