Official Web Site

From liquid nitrogen to molten metal, no Science Centre visit is complete without seeing at least one of the daily demonstrations.

Time Journey

This new demonstration makes every second count! Visitors measure time with the beat ora heart and see cutting-edge technology make a child's face mature by 50 years in a matter of minutes.

Electricity

This perennial favourite lets visitors experience the hair-raising effects of static electricity.

Chemistry

A flower shattering into icy shards afler a dip in ultra-cold liquid nitrogen highlights this demonstration, which explores the impacts of extreme temperatures.

Starlab

Visitors to the Science Centre's own planetarium are whisked through the solar system and beyond to meteor showers and the constellations of the night sky.

Foundry

Featuring the fiery spectacle of molten metal, this crowd-pleasing show demonstrates the steps in the casting of objects such as taps in a working foundry.

Paper Making

Would you believe you can make paper with banana peels? You will after this demonstration - and what's more, you'll know how to do it at home!
