Overview
Tips
1. Fans of classical music
should definitely check out the well-stocked Roy Thomson
Hall Music Store. It sells the finest in classical music
CDs, cassettes and videotapes. The store also carries a
selection of music-related gift items.
2. If you're shopping or
strolling downtown, you can rest your feet and eat a picnic
lunch on the landscaped public grounds adjacent to the hall.
3. For information on guided
tours, call the offices of the Roy Thomson Hall
administration at (416) 593-4822.
If you do take a tour, make sure to check out the
commanding full-concert pipe organ, which sits at front and
center of the stage.
4. More than just a music
auditorium, Roy Thomson Hall is also the best
venue for gala film presentations at the prestigious Toronto
International Film Festival. And it's a great place to hang
out and catch a glimpse of visiting film stars and other
international celebrities during the annual festival, held
late in the summer.
