Overview     Tips

The Grand Hall with its sweeping staircase, wrought iron gargoyles, murals and stained glass windows are an absolute "must see."

Something to leave for a second visit would be the exhibit cabinets on the main floor to the left of the entrance lobby.

Look for a clear plexi-glass time capsule containing a CD-ROM, a newspaper and other treasures installed on the main floor to celebrate Old City Hall’s 100th anniversary on September 18, 1999. The first time capsule buried 100 years ago is safely tucked away out of reach and view, so it’s fun to peak at the clear one.

E.J. Lennox, the architect was a stickler for detail. Examine the doorknobs carefully. Each bears the city's old Coat of Arms.

Old City Hall is now Courthouse 110 without food outlets. Plenty of street vendors sell tasty sausages and hot dogs near by.
