The Grand Hall with its sweeping staircase, wrought iron
gargoyles, murals and stained glass windows are an absolute
"must see."
Something to leave for a second visit would be the
exhibit cabinets on the main floor to the left of the
entrance lobby.
Look for a clear plexi-glass time capsule containing a
CD-ROM, a newspaper and other treasures installed on the
main floor to celebrate Old City Hall’s 100th
anniversary on September 18, 1999. The first time capsule
buried 100 years ago is safely tucked away out of reach and
view, so it’s fun to peak at the clear one.
E.J. Lennox, the architect was a stickler for detail.
Examine the doorknobs carefully. Each bears the city's old
Coat of Arms.
Old City Hall is now Courthouse 110 without food outlets.
Plenty of street vendors sell tasty sausages and hot dogs
near by.
