Overview     Tips

1. If you only have a few moments to look around New City Hall, try to visit the Council Chamber perched on the White column in the center of the building.  Its design is as unique inside as it is outside.

2. The Peace Garden, although a pleasant respite, can be left for a second visit

3. While the Council Chamber is definitely worth a visit, it’s now only accessible to visitors when council is meeting.  Save yourself a walk by asking at the information desk near the entrance.

4. A self-guided tour pamphlet in several languages is available near the entrance.  It’s a quick way to learn about the building and determine which parts might interest you.

5. Surrounded by streets and street vendors, City Hall’s reflecting pool is perfect for enjoying the variety of fast food available.  Not far from City Hall is Chinatown where delicious Chinese dishes might tempt you to forego the street vendors.
