It’s a tiny place to tour compared to Casa Loma or
Campbell House, but do get out to the attractive courtyard
garden after you’ve admired the house.
For a quick walk through, omit the printing shop and
kitchens.
Although the gallery wing is a recent addition, it
features changing exhibits that add to your enjoyment and
understanding of 19th century life.
Why not combine some shopping with a visit to Mackenzie
House. Only two blocks west is the Eaton Centre, an
architectural marvel of a shopping mall with over 300 stores
on three levels.
The only food available at Mackenzie House will be
samples from the kitchen during cooking demonstrations of
the period. You’re in for a yummy treat.
